Our market: The Optical Network

Platforms for markets, architectures and different kinds of networks

We give low-cost optical transport solutions based on CWDM/DWDM optical wavelength multiplexing of multiformat channels, and solutions of asynchronous channel aggregate with GFP/VCAT technology and SDH/Sonet output.

We have three platforms: Naxos, Optria and Proteus, orientated to markets, architectures and different kinds of networks. The Naxos platform, orientated to the enterprise market, is a compact equipment that permits ideally to multiplex up to 4 bi-directional multiformat channels on an optical fiber, with a maximum bandwidth per channel of 2.7 Gbps. Based on SFP technology, it is a scalable and stackable equipment, of very low consumption.

The Optria platform, oriented to the carrier market, is a carrier-class kind multiservice based on rack. Each chassis has 12 free slots for the insertion of xWDM transponder type cards of up to 10Gbps, optical switches, monitor cards, channel aggregate cards, etc. The Optria, as well as The Naxos platform, support ring, point-to-point or add & drop lineal configurations (simple and with protection).

The Proteus platform, also oriented to the carrier market, is planned to implement optical mesh networks and multiservice with a dynamic bandwidth and optical paths. It is based on ROADM devices and transponders at a DWDM tunable wavelength that permit the configuration of optical links in real time thanks to the GMPLS protocol.
