W-onesys’ different platforms are optimized for each market sector bearing in mind specific needs. The Naxos platform is a very low-cost compact solution of optical transport oriented to the enterprise sector, and the Optria and Proteus platforms are solutions oriented basically to carriers.

The Optria platform is designed according to the current deployment tendencies of plant infrastructure of telecom operators. That is, it combines efficiency, granularity in the bandwidth transported with Ethernet and its low cost, with great transport capacity, multiservice and the great distances provided by the optical transport based in WDM.

On the other hand, the totally optical networks with switching based on ROADM devices and transmitters at tunable wavelength, with capacity up to 10G per lambda and with GMPLS management, will become the scenario of a nearby future in the field of backbone networks. The Proteus platform provides solutions to this kind of optical networks.
